Dr Joey Vermaak, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Callas Nursing Agency and Callas Human Capital Services. Dr Joey is known for her tough approach and unwavering dedication advancement women in temporary employment services in South Africa.
Dr Joey has held several Human Resources Leadership roles prior to establishing Callas Nursing Agency in 2001. Being a Female entrepreneur was never easy in a world where the entrepreneurial sector was dominated by males, with this challenge ahead, she gathered the courage and took on this challenge head-on and never looked back.
In 2018 she completed her MBA and in 2021 she graduated with a Doctorate (DBA) from Regent International University with her in-depth research into skills development.
With a clear vision and determination, Dr Joey set out to create careers for nurses and temporary staff across South Africa with a distinctive focus on the advancement of women in the business industry. Under her incredible leadership, the business has grown exponentially and now employs over 12000 staff all over South Africa.
